Driven by a profound commitment to preserving biodiversity and sustainability in the Sultanate of Oman, the Oman Bird Database is the culmination of collaboration between the Diwan of Royal Court and Sultan Qaboos University, represented by the Center for Environmental Studies and Research and the Remote Sensing and GIS Research Center. This initiative underscores joint efforts to document and safeguard the biodiversity of avian in the Sultanate of Oman. Collaborative activities include bird conservation, population monitoring, migration surveys, habitat impact research, maintaining a comprehensive avian database, and developing environmental programs to engage communities.

This platform serves as a vital resource for researchers and enthusiasts, offering critical insights into challenges faced Oman’s bird populations and advancing sustainable conservation efforts aligned with Oman Vision 2040’s goals for environmental sustainability and biodiversity preservation.
